Part Breaker:
Dare to Destroy Challenge
June 2021
A full-fledged promotional campaign for 3DEO’s sample parts.
We asked clients and partnering companies to break our parts as creatively as possible for a chance to win $2,500 in cash.
Assets included landing pages, flyers, digital ads, Zoom backgrounds, a T-shirt, video submissions, emails, and of course, a big reveal of the winner.
The Dare
They aren’t typical 3D printed parts. They’re tough. We wanted to prove it.
Current clients and prospective customers alike were invited to submit a video of themselves breaking the parts.
A custom logo I designed for the campaign.
Clean, simple, and technical — with a little bit of grit.
Marketing
T-shirts
All participants who submitted a video were given a t-shirt with the Part Breaker logo.
Backgrounds
I also created Zoom backgrounds for the sales team and other employees to use during virtual calls.
Digital + Print
In addition to print collateral, I made display ads and a landing page for people to submit their videos.




Using The Force
To promote the campaign, I also filmed a few slo-mo videos in May (on Star Wars Day of course) to include in a social and email marketing push.

The Reveal
After receiving some very cool submissions, it was time to announce the winner. Who was the most creative in breaking the parts?
I compiled clips from all of the videos and cut them together in a quick highlight reel.
